A little getaway can spark a lot of inspiration. As I’m still out of the city and immersed in the country, I’m thinking of you all! So here is a photo taken from a very special place called Hog Island in Bremen, New York where I just spent 5 days with some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met.
Need to work out but can’t seem to find motivation? Here’s someone to help boost your confidence. Kacy Catanzaro, a 5 feet tall 100 pound gymnast was the first woman ever to complete the obstacle course on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior. It’s pretty inspiring when you see how dedicated and focus she is as she faces the seemingly-impossible-to-beat obstacles. You’ll be in awe!
Are you a foodie? A foodie is someone who seeks new experiences rather than eating out of convenience or hunger. It’s hard to resist temptations of places with an appealing ambiance, a creative menu, or award plagues all over its tiny 200 square feet space. When you live in a city of incredible restaurants from hole-in-the-walls to fancy high-end restaurants, you can be torn with decisions of where to go.
Hence, my love for venues that have them all in ONE. 🙂 Smorgasburg, Plaza Hotel Food Hall, and Broadway Eats are great spots to try different food (beware: some are pop up for only a few months). This entry’s dedicated to the new, inspiring Hudson Eats over at Battery Park. With 14 award-winning eateries in one spot, something’s bound to call your name!

Champagne? 3 course meal? Sleeping bags under the huge whale?? If you have $375, sure, why not? Sounds like a blast! The American Museum of Natural History will be hosting their first ADULT sleepover on August 1st. Sorry, Ben Stiller won’t be there this time BUT… there will be special presentations, adventures, music, and showings. You’ll even wake up to a nice breakfast snack!
Oh and don’t worry, it’s not a real camp for all you tech people. Charging stations complimentary! 🙂 Sign up HERE.
Sadly, my camera broke and I am left with my old phone to take pictures for now. Hopefully, my pictures will still do justice!
Last Friday, summer vacation officially launched! I began my summer adventures with row boating in Central Park (for just $15!) and a visit to the Hotel Plaza Food Hall. This hotel has been a hot spot ever since it became famous from being featured in the movie, Home Alone 2, but surprisingly, not many know about the upscale tummy-filling, mouth-drooling hall down below.
Greeting you as you enter the main hall are display cases of luxury souvenir items and Eloise dolls. As you head downstairs to the food hall, you’re greeted by high-end vendors that are so worth paying for just to try, whether you are interested in dessert, savory bites, or an entire meal. Try a sample of detox green tea at Kusmi Tea, grab a slice of the green tea mille crepe at Lady M, or select some chocolates for a special someone from La Maison du Chocolat. You may want to stop by the ATM first. 🙂
“If you invest in yourself, you can’t lose.”
A lot of things can be self-taught now, especially with the Internet at the palm of your hands. The only thing you need is passion and motivation. This 15 year old, Emka Klučovská, proves that drive as she self-teaches and creates pieces of artwork beyond words. They are remarkable with the finest of details that you may take a double take just to make sure that it wasn’t a photograph to begin with. To make her even more special, she’s a falconer, unafraid and brave to train birds of prey! When she grows up, she wants to be a movie character designer. Now that’s dedication.
